Quick start

From signup to a live overlay on your stream in roughly five minutes. This guide assumes you're a streamer setting up for the first time.

1. Create an account

Sign up at hypevault.io/signup. You can use email/password or log in directly with Twitch, YouTube, or Kick — OAuth is the fastest path because it auto-connects that platform on your first session.

2. Connect your platforms

Open Dashboard → Settings → Connections and click Connect on each platform you stream to. The OAuth handshake authorizes HypeVault to read your chat, follows, subs, cheers, raids, and other events in real time.

Tip
You can connect all three platforms to one HypeVault account. Cross-platform events feed into the same overlays and games, so a sub on YouTube and a sub on Twitch both tick the same goal bar.

3. Pick a widget

Open Dashboard → Widgets. Each widget — Alert Box, Goals, Activity Ticker, Marathon, Latest Events, Card Alert, the unified Game widget, and the rest — has its own configuration page and its own browser-source URL.

4. Add it to OBS

  1. In OBS, click the + under Sources and choose Browser.
  2. Paste the widget URL from your dashboard.
  3. Set the width and height to match the widget's dimensions (shown above the URL).
  4. Click OK. The widget streams real-time events instantly.
Info
Each widget is its own browser source on purpose — you can position them independently across scenes without one widget affecting another.

5. Test it live

Most widgets have a Test button on their dashboard config page that fires a sample event so you can see the alert pop up in OBS before you ever go live.
