Card packs & shop

Build collections of cards once, then sell them two ways: as Gem-priced random packs from your Card packs tab, or as USD-priced singles and curated bundles from your Direct shop tab. Cards can fire alerts, jumpscares, chaos input via HypeVision, or just live in a viewer's inventory as a flex.

Where to manage it

Everything cards-related lives at Dashboard → Cards, which has three tabs plus a master jumpscare toggle pinned to the top:

  • Card packs — your collections + create / clone defaults. Viewers buy packs with Loyalty Gems and pull random cards weighted by rarity.
  • Direct shop — list specific cards (or curated bundles) for a flat USD price via Stripe.
  • Redemptions — the live queue for cards viewers are playing.

The Windows companion app for jumpscares lives under Dashboard → HypeVision — installer + sign-in + connection status.

Designing a collection

On the Card packs tab, create a new collection or clone one of the default themes. A collection has a name, cover image, accent color, a Loyalty-Gem pack price, and a configurable cards-per-pack count (default 5). Inside the collection you add individual cards — each with a name, image, rarity, description, and an action.

Card actions

Pick what happens when a card is redeemed:

  • Chat message — sent verbatim to chat.
  • TTS — read aloud over the alert sound.
  • Sound — plays a sound effect on the alert widget.
  • Video — plays a video clip on the alert widget.
  • Jumpscare — fires a jumpscare via HypeVision (full-screen overlay over your game) or the Jumpscare widget if you'd rather render it through OBS.
  • Chaos — sends keyboard / mouse input to your PC via HypeVision (effects + duration scale with the card's rarity).
  • Custom — free-form payload your custom widget can consume.

Rarities

  • Common — most frequent pulls.
  • Rare
  • Epic
  • Legendary
  • Mythic — rarest, biggest payoff.

HypeVault uses a weighted pick when a pack is opened so the rarities balance out across many openings. Drop weights are tunable per card.

Direct shop (USD)

On the Direct shop tab, list specific cards or curated bundles for a flat USD price. Buyers check out via Stripe; the streamer's share routes directly to your Stripe Connect account at the moment of purchase, and the cards land in the buyer's inventory immediately. Requires Stripe Connect onboarding (Settings → Billing).

Tip
Use packs for the lottery / dopamine loop; use the Direct Shop for "I just want that card" sales and curated bundles. The same cards can be sold both ways.

HypeVision for jumpscares & chaos

Jumpscare cards and chaos cards fire on stream via HypeVision — the Windows desktop companion that sits in your tray and renders effects over fullscreen games. Install it from Dashboard → HypeVision, sign in, and you're live. Emergency kill: Ctrl + Shift + F12. If you'd rather not run a desktop app, drop the Jumpscare widget into an overlay instead — it fires the same clips through OBS.

Jumpscare card actions also have a master toggle on Dashboard → Cards — when off, cards still redeem (gems spend, queue row writes) but the jumpscare clip won't fire on stream.

Redemptions

When a viewer plays a card from their inventory, it lands on your Cards → Redemptions tab — play, skip, or let it auto-expire. The Card Alert and Redemptions Queue overlay widgets also render live in OBS.

Default themes

HypeVault ships a handful of clonable default collections (including a Jumpscare Pack prebuilt from the platform's jumpscare asset library). Click Use this theme on any default card to clone it into your account, then edit freely.
