Quick answers to common platform questions.
Is HypeVault affiliated with Twitch, YouTube, or Kick?+
No. HypeVault is an independent platform that integrates with their public APIs and webhooks. Your platform-native subs, monetization, and chat moderation all remain on those platforms.
Do I need a streamer account to use HypeVault as a viewer?+
No. A standard viewer account is all you need to collect cards, subscribe to streamers, and earn Loyalty Gems. You can upgrade to a streamer account later from your dashboard.
Can streamers see who tipped or bought packs?+
Yes — streamers see the viewer's HypeVault display name. They don't see your email or payment details.
What happens if a streamer closes their account?+
Existing card inventory stays in viewer dashboards as a historical record. Any active viewer-to-streamer subscriptions stop renewing at the end of the current billing cycle. Loyalty Gem balances tied to that streamer may be sunsetted with reasonable notice — Gems are streamer-scoped and have no cash value.
Can I use HypeVault widgets in Streamlabs or other software?+
Yes — widget URLs are standard browser sources, so any tool that supports a URL-based overlay (Streamlabs, XSplit, vMix, etc.) works the same way OBS does.
Are there content rules?+
Yes — HypeVault's Terms of Service prohibit content that violates the laws of the streamer's country or HypeVault's acceptable-use policy (harassment, illegal content, etc.). See the Terms page for the full list.
How do you protect against fraud?+
Stripe handles card-side fraud detection. On the platform side, we deduplicate webhook events, validate timestamps, enforce per-platform secret verification, and rate-limit purchase flows. Suspicious activity gets flagged and reviewed.
Is there a mobile app?+
Not yet — viewer and streamer dashboards are responsive web for now. Native apps are on the roadmap for after the v2 launch.
Can I export my data?+
Yes. Email support and we'll send you a JSON export of your account: profile, ledger, transactions, cards owned, subscription history.
I think I found a bug.+
Open a ticket at Support with steps to reproduce, the URL where it happened, and (if relevant) a screenshot. We respond fastest to bugs with clean repros.
